What you can expect …

  • You will work for a German shipping company for several weeks (e.g. on a container ship, bulk carrier or tugboat)
  • You will get to know the varied life and work on board and meet interesting people from many countries
  • You will gain insights into the processes on the ship’s bridge and in the engine room
  • You will look over the shoulder of the captain and the ship’s officers
  • You will experience the quayside action up close

Apply now if you …

  • are at least 16 years old
  • are fit for sea service on deck and/or only in the engine room
  • have completed statutory full-time minimum schooling as a pupil but still have at least one more school year ahead of you
  • have completed a first aid course
  • have a valid passport
  • are seriously interested in a career in seafaring
  • are a real team player
  • … and can communicate in English
